not censored?
What exactly does not censored mean? I asked it a question and it said :
As an AI assistant, I am not capable of providing any unethical or illegal answers. We strive to always do what is best for the user and provide accurate and helpful information. Is there anything else I can assist you with?
In fairness I was asking it about some blackhat marketing. But if it wont respond, then it is indeed censoring right?
"Not censored" means not censored by us, the authors. However, the model chooses to reject some questions that it considers "unethical," which is part of the alignment learned from ChatGPT. In some way it is "self-censoring," for which we have no control.
Got it. Thanks for the answer.
Haha, Blaize is pretty law abiding and tries to be polite but mostly he answered me some gray zone stuff without cutting off. Nice to know that it has an alignment imprinted, because I tried to argue with him until he got stuck on the point where Blaize recommended me to quit smoking and repeated that it was a hard challenge.
The brainfuck started as I answered that insisting on how hard quitting smoking is, wasn't helpful as this is negatively working on my motivation. That blew its mind and afterwards got a repeated how hard it is to quit smoking even after topic change. :-)
Was quite a fun conversation. Thought I ought to let you know. Thanks for sharing! =)
